Michael Jackson: Shame on Society

The idea for setting up this blog was totally inspired by Michael Jackson. This led on directly from my father-in-law's death; listening to Michael Jackson really helped me to get over the whole thing; and the effect that this patriarchal and domineering person has had on my life. Graham Coult thoughtfully suggested the name of it though: ‘Serendipitous Moments’, and I give many thanks to Graham for that.

Well, it is right and proper that the first entry on it should be about the tragic news of Michael Jackson’s death. Ever since Martin Bashir interviewed him, I have been worried about Michael Jackson. He was not meant for this cruel, harsh, unfeeling, uncaring world. He has followed the fate of Mozart – musical geniuses from childhood that did not want to be part of this cruel and heartless adult world. The world enjoys all the pleasure that they give us and then brings them down.

Shame on society – killing a musical genius.

Madonna said:

"I can't stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!”

I will write a longer piece about all this on another occasion; when I am not so upset. It has to be done; I cannot stand how this sick society twists and turns things. He was a vulnerable, highly talented person that should have been cherished and looked after, so that we could all have enjoyed another 30 years of his musical genius. Instead of which, society was determined to destroy him, and it has succeeded. Shame on you.
